As a second example, we will graph the root function f(x) = 5thRoot(x+3). Enter this function as Y1 (clear the previous function). You will need the general root command found in the MATH MATH submenu. The index 5 is entered first, then the root command. Once entered, try a standard window.

The standard window is a comprehensive graph, but we can improve the perspective by narrowing the range in the y-direction.
