Notice that the two branches of the graph do intersect the x-axis now, and that there are x-intercepts at (-5, 0) and (5, 0). The domain of this function is (-infinity, -5]U[5, infinity) and the range is [0, infinity). The graph is decreasing on the interval (-infinity, -5] and increasing on [5, infinity). There is no y-intercept.
