As a third option for converting a complex number from rectangular to polar form, we can use a couple of commands from the ANGLE menu. The only difference is that we must enter the complex number as an ordered pair. That is, a + bi would be entered as (a, b).

Let's use our same complex number, -1-sqrt(3)*i, to try this method. We will find the modulus first using the RtoPr command.

 CLEAR key.

 2nd ANGLE key. 5: menu selection. Negation key. 1 Comma key. Negation key. 2nd Square root key. 3 Right parenthesis key. Right parenthesis key. ENTER key.
