As another example, let's try to calculate the product sqrt(-4)*sqrt(-9). First we will do it in rectangular complex (a+bi) mode, giving the correct answer since the problem involves imaginary numbers.

 CLEAR key.

 2nd Square root key. Negation key. 4 Right parenthesis key. Multiply key. 2nd Square root key. Negation key. 9 Right parenthesis key. ENTER key.

Now return to Real mode and repeat the command. Again, we get an error. Press choice 1 to quit.
