Multiplication can be performed using the TIMES key, or it may be done as an implied multiplication by using parentheses. Try the multiplication 20.3(-4.7). We'll do it both ways; notice the difference in syntax.

For division, use the DIVIDE key. This appears on the screen as a backslash. Try dividing 37 by -40. The result will always be given as a decimal unless you specify otherwise (see the lesson on fractions).
