Another formula that is used for the area of a triangle is Heron's formula, A = sqrt(s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c)), where s is given by s = (1/2)(a+b+c). Suppose a = 12, b = 8 and c = 14. First, we will find the value of s, called the semi-perimeter of the triangle, and store it in a variable. Then we will compute the area using this value of s.
