TRIGONOMETRIC FUNCTIONS Basic Graphs (Page 4 of 14)

Let's enter the other five functions all at once in the function editor. We will use function names Y2 through Y6. The calculator has keys for the cosine and tangent functions, and we will use the reciprocal identities for the remaining three functions: cscx = 1/sinx, secx = 1/cosx and cotx = 1/tanx.

 Y= key.

 Down arrow key. COS key. X,T,theta,n key. Right parenthesis key. ENTER key.
 TAN key. X,T,theta,n key. Right parenthesis key. ENTER key.
 1 Divide key. SIN key. X,T,theta,n key. Right parenthesis key. ENTER key.
 1 Divide key. COS key. X,T,theta,n key. Right parenthesis key. ENTER key.
 1 Divide key. TAN key. X,T,theta,n key. Right parenthesis key.

To prevent all six functions from graphing at once (which would be very confusing), we will select which function is graphed on the function editor screen. This is done by highlighting the equal sign of the function to graphed and de-highlighting the other equal signs. One way to do this is executed from the Home screen.
