This is not a very good viewing rectangle, and there is a "false connection" again. However, there is another problem with this graph! The calculator is providing even more misleading information. To prove it, let's evaluate the function at x = -3 using CALC value.

Notice how the y-coordinate is blank. This function is undefined at x = -3! There is no vertical asymptote there, but the graph "hides" the fact that x = -3 is not in the domain!
