This function has a slant (oblique) asymptote. To identify the equation of this asymptote, divide the denominator of the function into the numerator. The quotient will represent the slant asymptote, and its equation is y = 2x - 1. To draw the slant asymptote, enter its equation as a function Y2. Then re-graph the function.
