The first three settings, which are new for this mode, determine the values of θ that will be used in drawing the graph. With a standard window, θ will range from 0 to 2π (in radian mode). For many polar graphs this range of values is sufficient; however, we will need to expand this range for this particular example.

Let's set θmax = 8π and re-graph the function.

This curve is called a spiral of Archimedes. However, our current window does not allow any negative values of θ. Let's change the window again to permit some negative values.
