To find the intersection point of these two graphs, use the CALC intersect command. This command will ask three questions. You must select two graphs (there are only two for this example) and then enter a guess. The guess can be any x-value that is close to the x-coordinate of the intersection point. We will use a guess of 4.

 ENTER key. (Mark the second graph)

The intersection point is approximately (3.482, 6). The x-coordinate of this point is the solution to the equation, so the equation has the approximate solution set {3.482}.
