LOGARITHMIC FUNCTIONS Evaluating (Page 1 of 4)

To evaluate a common logarithmic function (base ten), use the LOG key. key located on the left column. Let's use this key to evaluate f(x) = LOGbase10(x) for x = 9.3 and x = 1/2. Simply press the key, then enter the domain value (called the argument) within the parentheses.

 2nd QUIT key. CLEAR key.

 LOG key. 9.3 Right parenthesis key. ENTER key.
 LOG key. 1 Divide key. 2 Right parenthesis key. ENTER key.
