LINEAR FUNCTIONS Solving Linear Equations (Page 3 of 7)

A second method of solving a linear equation graphically is to enter each side of the equation, as is, as individual linear functions Y1 and Y2. The solution to the equation will be the intersection of the graphs of these functions.

Let's solve 3x+4 = (1/3)(x-2) again using this second method. Enter the left side of the equation as function Y1 and the right side as function Y2, then graph them using a standard window.
