Now graph both expressions using a standard trigonometric window. It is important that you carefully watch both graphs being drawn!

Notice how the two graphs perfectly overlap. It is important to mention that the two graphs are not identical. The first graph has "holes" at multiples of π/2 (although they are not visible with this window); the second graph does not. However, for all values of x other than these, the graphs are exactly the same. For this reason, the graphs also support the conclusion that the equation is an identity.
