FUNCTIONS Inverse Functions (Page 1 of 9)

All functions have an inverse relation. To determine if a function is one-to-one and has an inverse that is also a function, the horizontal line test is used.

Let's use the horizontal line test to see if the function f(x) = x^3-2x+3 is a one-to-one function. We do this using a DRAW command. First, enter the function as Y1 and graph it.

 Y= key. (Clear any previous functions)
