Let's graph the exponential function f(x) = 3-2^(x+1). Enter this expression as Y1, then try a standard window. Notice the use of parentheses around the expression in the exponent position.

A comprehensive graph of an exponential function should show all intercepts and the horizontal asymptote. With a standard window we can see the required elements, but some slight adjustments may give us a better viewing angle.
