We can also find roots using exponential notation. By writing the root as a rational exponent, the general power key can be used. This is sometimes more convenient because the power key is easier to access (we don't have to go into a menu to get it).

Try evaluating sqrt(529) again, but this time using an exponent. A square root is the same as an exponent of 1/2.
