PROBABILITY Binomial Theorem (Page 1 of 2)

The coefficients of a binomial expansion can be easily computed on the TI-83/84 using the nCr command located in the MATH PRB submenu. For example, let's find the coefficient of the fourth term in the expansion of (x+y)^7. The variable n is the exponent on the binomial, and the value of r is always one less than the term number. So, we must use n = 7 and r = 3. Enter the value of n first, then the command, followed by the value of r.
